The thermal water of Schallerbach
The pool is completely filled with the valuable Bad Schallerbach thermal water, at a pleasant temperature of 33°C. The precious commodity bubbles up to the earth's surface from a depth of 460m with 37°C. The spring was also discovered by chance in 1918 after drilling for oil. From then on, Bad Schallerbach rose from an inconspicuous community to the Upper Austria spa town. The high sulphur content of the water makes it an effective cure for symptoms of the musculoskeletal system, rheumatism, joint complaints and circulation problems.
With the construction and constant expansion of the bathing and wellness offer in 1995 with the Aquapulco until today, Bad Schallerbach draws thousands of guests from Upper Austria and beyond its borders.
